Blog 5 REVISED

Charlie Chaplain's "The Great Dictator" relates to technology in today's world. With technology where it's at, he is saying we are losing our human qualities. Cell phones and social media is today's biggest problem. People are forgetting how to communicate in person and are being less social in person. Someone who talks constantly and openly online may not say a word in person and this a huge current problem. Society is acting like robots in this world today. Everything is done by machine and communicated through machines and this is taking away our human qualities. Another point he touched on his speech is equality. Today, we are advanced in that equality between races is at an all time high. Howver, this does not mean racism isn't still out there. He is saying to make everyone equal, no matter the race, ethnics, or religion. We have made many advances in this subject, but haven't come all the way. This speech was a start in addressing these issues.
