For my photo-journal I'm going to focus on how the media portraits the concept of beauty on women. The media typically only show us the tall, skinny, size 0's on TV. They don't concern themselves with the more full, chunky, plus size women. The only time I see more full women on TV is when they are celebrities who have gained weight/ lost weight, they talk about health problems, or try to convince you to get that perfect beach body. The perception of beauty is changing the lives of many young girls. Many girls start hating the way they look at an early age and aim to fix themselves through plastic surgery. I wanted my photo-journal to be about beauty because I think its about time to break that barrier. Women need to start feeling more confident in their looks. "Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. Its not something physical." (Sophia Loren).
