In Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator" he mentions that men should be men and weren't meant to be machines. Even though that was a time prior to the widespread of personal technology, that thinking stands true to this day. Think back to the last time you used you cell phone. Chances are the last time you looked at your phone was within an hour. Today men are acting more and more like machines. We have taken the human element out of communication. Now days humans are so caught up in technology that we rarely talk to each other face to face. There's from the T.V. show "One Tree Hill" where Julian says," I've got this theory that if the phone was invented after texting people would be all like "wow, you can actually HEAR the person!" This quote seems to say that when technology is improved, we become more like restricted computers rather than sociable humans.
