Blog 7
In class we discussed a science fiction strip from Calvin and Hobbes, the main themes are blind obedience and corruption. I think that it's trying to say that the government has complete control over us and there really isn't anything we can do about. It shows that they don't really care about the public and would do anything to keep their position of their jobs, but we all go along with it and don't question it. A good text that relates to this theme is the Hunger Games because their society goes along with the government even though it is unfair to them all. Even when it is life and death to their children no one will speak up because they feel helpless. Katniss ends up standing up and changing the whole game and the government is concerned so they do everything in their power to try to get rid of her.
