In one of the videos shown masculinity was talked about, the video was talking about how boys are always told not to show their feelings and when they do they are compared to being a girl. This is an on going issue day, fathers tell their sons to man up and that they shouldn't act like a female because they aren't one. Personally I see nothing wrong with acting like a "female" there are women like Oprah, Michelle Obama, and Ellen that are doing more than okay that are females so I don't think that it should be used as an insult. Because boys are told to be a man instead of crying about things when they get hurt they lash out and get into fights.
One text that can be connected to this is in the movie When The Game Stands tall based on a true story, these men were playing basketball and when a man on the losing team lost he was more than bitter about it. After losing when he saw the guy that beat him at an outing he shot him several times and killed him. If men were allowed to show sorrow from a young age I honestly believe that there would be less murders over things that aren't important.
