V for Vendetta talks about a dystopian society where everything has gone wrong.  People are taken over by their fears and are knowingly being controlled by the government.  The government has oppressed the people's liberties and have gotten free reign over society.  V tries to bring the people together to bring order and have their voices be heard.  He tries to persuade them into thinking that they cannot just sit idly by and let the government control everything, someone has to have a voice and change the way society is seen.

The movie and book that relates to this is 'Divergent'.  Divergent is about a society that is controlled by five different "factions" that are: the selfless, the peaceful, the brave, the honest, and the intelligent.  Everyone else who does not fit under one of these categories are the factionless and have no status in society.  Each person has to take a physiological test to determine which one they are.  A girl named Beatrice tries to corrupt this organized society by choosing one that she was not assigned.

She is like V because she wants to help people get a voice and over turn the government who has stolen their individual liberties.  All the people know what the government is doing is wrong but both V and Beatrice are the two outliers who try to change society because they see what is right.
