The mains point of the video we watched was that society says that people are suppose to conform to the stereotype that is created for them even if it is not who they really are. More specifically in the TED talk we watched the speaker was talking about traditional gender roles. He said that he is a father and has a young daughter, but he actually talked more about typical men's roles, especially in films and media. He mentioned the Wizard of Oz because it was a movie that did not conform to any stereotypes, and compared it to all the recent films that have come out which all did. He even showed us a test to see if a movie used very traditional gender roles or not.
