In the movie Wall-E, the use of a dystopian setting is clearly present. Humanity has forgotten about earth and found a new home in a spaceship outside of Earth's atmosphere. Sure, it is several thousands of years away from today, but the point of this exagerrated setting is to highlight our generation's dependence on technology. We use so much tech that we forget about things that are created naturally rather than by man's hand. In comparison with the Vendetta speech, Wall-E is the masked man who is trying to lead others to a life better than the one they are currently in. Wall-E wants to show people that life on Earth is beautiful and worth getting up and out of a chair that has been glued to their butts since they were born. They are the citizens of England that the masked man in Vendetta is speaking out to. Auto A113, the malicious robot who has gained a conscious of its own and understands that going back to Earth means the end of robot control, has people living life in those chairs and controls every bit of the spaceship. Auto is the government that Vendetta is trying to overthrow. I highly doubt "Wall-E" was made to send a bad message to any government, but instead was made to tell people that we sometimes need to take our hands off our technology and try to see where it is leading us to.
