This video was made in Italy, and it is called "Slap her" and the purpose of it was to raise awareness on violence committed on women. These boys, aged 5-10 years old were told to slap the girl standing next to them. All of the ones in the video said no, and when asked why, they each gave their reason. It shows the different reasons, ranging from "you should never hit a woman," to a more general sense of the situation such as "Jesus does not want you to hit anyone," and "I do not believe in using violence." Domestic violence is an issue, even in our community today. although it mainly affects women, like in the video, it also affects men, and they are also abused. Rape culture is also something that can branch out from domestic violence, in a sense that men who commit the action on women thing that it is okay to do so. Education about the subject is a way to prevent incidents from happening so often. The education would be directed to both males and females, and it is actually a very serious matter. Violence only endorses more violence.

This ties in with the gender roles that were mentioned in the poem "Penelope." How this ties in is because in domestic violence issues, the woman is meant to be submissive to her attacker, because more than likely it is someone they know that is close to them. In the case of rape, there are a lot of people who blame the woman depending on how she looks. The whole justification using the women's attire and the way that they carry themselves has to be a way that a man will be attracted to them. In the poem, and the whole story behind Penelope, her husband goes around sleeping with randoms, but she is being loyal and faithful. Why is it okay for men to do what they want and hurt their significant other, but if a woman hurts a man, shes a terrible b*tch and any other slurs that relative with negative FEMALE behavior.
