When watching TV the last thing you want to see are commercials and if there is no way to fast forward through them then you're forced to sit there and wait as companies shove their products and ideas in our faces. It may be how society wants people to act a certain way or to buy certain products. Commercials that affect me the most are those that affect me in a comical way. When the media uses commercials that make me laugh I will be more likely to remember what the company is selling or an idea that an individual is trying to promote. If I can quote a funny line from a commercial I will remember it, not only that it makes the gaps in between my favorite shows a lot less boring. I personally do not like the commercials that affect me in such a way they make me feel guilty. For example; The Sarah McLaughlin's commercial for the animals at the Humane Society makes me feel guilty for the animals, pulling at my heartstrings and wanting to help although I am unable to.
